Some Things Are Better Than Money

August 13, 2014

You’ve heard it before.happy families

I recall, as a child, my own parents saying this to me many times with hope that some day I’d believe it. Studies have shown that once you reach a rather modest level of income, more money does not bring more happiness. However, many still believe that the relationship between money and happiness is like a chicken and egg scenario- tough to know which comes first.

Few people make it through life without struggling with their finances at some point in time. Occasionally (or even frequently), it’s wise to stop and count your blessings (not just your money). Perhaps a strange comment coming from a financial professional but, for me, it’s true. The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything.

So, no matter what your financial situation is today, remember some things that money can’t buy.
